Are you a dedicated and passionate individual looking for a rewarding career in education? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in a Specialist School in the Brigg area on a long-term basis. This opportunity is to cover a permanent vacancy, with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role if you find it fulfilling.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Until July, with potential for extension
  • Salary: £85 - £95 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Key Duties and Requirements: As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant in a Specialist School your role will be both challenging and immensely rewarding. You will:

  • Support Students: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with challenging behaviour.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and personal development.
  • Implement Behaviour Plans: Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement behaviour management plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assist in Classroom Activities: Support in delivering educational activities and ensuring students' engagement in the learning process.
  • Build Relationships: Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and other staff members to create a supportive educational community.

Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification or substantial experience.
  • A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine interest in the welfare of students.
  • Resilience and adaptability to effectively handle challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a Pupil Referral Unit is advantageous but not essential.
