Morgan Hunt is excited to be partnering with a leading college in East London, offering an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled English Lecturer. If you have a strong background in teaching English and are enthusiastic about helping students excel, this could be the perfect role for you.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons at GCSE Edexcel and Functional Skills levels (Entry Level to Level 2).
- Plan and develop comprehensive lesson plans to cover the full scope of each class.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and maintain an engaging classroom environment.
- Teach the structure, spelling, and meaning of English words, focusing on grammar, composition, and sentence construction.
- Help students improve their pronunciation and deepen their understanding of English literature and poetry.
- Encourage critical thinking through the analysis of media, advertisements, and news reports.
**Skills & Experience:
- Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced Adult/Child DBS (dated within the last 3 months or registered on the update service).
- A UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed) is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern teaching methods and subject content.
- Strong communication skills, with excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Proven experience delivering English lessons, particularly at GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
