They partner with customers in the automotive, beverage can, aerospace and specialties industries to deliver solutions and drive sustainability through industrial markets.

Description

As the Process Engineer you will be tasked with the following:

  • Provide general process technical support in areas of scrap pre-treatment, de-coating and melting.
  • Manage laboratory and the melt mix system for the GPP.
  • Lead casting recipe development in both UBC and Auto.
  • Lead metal cleanliness control for can-body sheet ingot production, including operating practices cleanliness monitoring, materials selection.
  • Provide technical support for fault-finding and process development for scrap pre-treatment, melting, metal treatment and casting.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers.
  • SPC and process monitoring.

Profile

A successful Process Engineer should have:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years experience within an industrial field
  • A thorough technical grounding and knowledge of quality processes and desirable previous experience of working with molten metal treatment operations.
  • An open communicative style with the ability to build cooperative relationships and networks at all levels of the business.
  • The potential to grow in the role and the capacity and leadership to eventually become a senior expert and/or manager in this area of expertise
