We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join a leading automotive manufacturer. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all production processes, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong quality assurance background in the automotive industry, looking for a challenging and rewarding role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive internal and external quality issue resolution to maintain high production standards.
  • Ensure working and master samples are valid, available, and used correctly in production.
  • Issue, monitor, and enforce adherence to Quality Alerts across production teams.
  • Initiate and oversee temporary and permanent fixes for any quality-related problems.
  • Conduct product audits to ensure compliance with standards and protocols.
  • Assist customers with quality concerns during your shift and visit customer sites when required.
  • Support line trials and ensure accurate documentation and feedback.
  • Utilize Global 8D reporting to drive root cause analysis and corrective action, with multifunctional team support.
  • Provide support to operations and production teams, ensuring adherence to 1st-off procedures.

Role Requirements (Preferred but not essential):

  • ONC or equivalent in Quality Control Techniques.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA's (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and control plans.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Experience conducting process and product audits.
  • Metrology experience and proficiency in measurement techniques.
  • Experience with X-rite colour measurement.
  • Understanding of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels within the organization.
  • PC proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Ability to generate accurate and informative data reports.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of paint, plastic, and assembly processes in high-volume manufacturing is desirable.
