Working as part of a small HR Team gaining exposure to the full HR remit, this hybrid role is based in Manchester with occasional travel to the other UK offices. This is a busy and exciting HR role with the chance to make a real impact.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment activities across the business, ensuring the attraction and appointment of high calibre candidates aligned with our values and behaviours
  • Support hiring managers on all recruitment matters including ATS support, interview guidance and recruitment administration
  • Attend interviews and make recommendations to hiring managers about candidate suitability
  • Liaise with and develop collaborative partnerships with recruitment agencies, ensuring they recruit in alignment with company standards, values and behaviours
  • Play an active role in talent acquisition including recommendations for efficiencies, recruitment in a challenging market and process improvements
  • Ensure recruitment is managed in line with company policies and processes
  • Actively manage the talent pipeline for future Verlingue talent
  • Play a key role as one of the first points of contact for all new starters, delivering HR inductions
  • Work closely with the Senior Advisor (Learning & Development) to evolve and enhance the entire onboarding experience
  • Oversee the HR administrative tasks involved in effective onboarding, ensuring a timely and compliant process is delivered
  • Responsible for ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to, to minimise ER issues across the business
  • Provide advice and support to line managers on all HR and people management matters
  • Attend disciplinary, grievance, capability and PIP meetings as HR representative, advising and overseeing relevant administration in line with company procedures
  • Keep abreast of HR legislation and case law to update policies and procedures as relevant
  • Contribute to the annual wellbeing plan and coordinate implementation of activities and events
  • Support the business and managers on welfare matters including complex absences
  • Actively identify how to better engage people across the business including the coordination of engagement calendar activities
  • Contribute to the annual engagement calendar with innovative suggestions
  • Working closely with finance on payroll documentation, meeting deadlines and providing 100% accurate information
  • Act as champion and custodian of all HR policies and processes, making suggestions to improve and enhance as appropriate
  • Working with the EB team to implement, evolve and feedback on all company benefits including those relating to health and wellbeing
  • Provide advice and support to the business on all benefits matters
  • Deliver Benefits in Focus sessions and educate the team on benefits available to them
  • Administer and support on the Vie platform and other benefits software
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders across all offices, visiting offices on a regular basis when required
  • Work closely with the Head of HR on all HR matters
  • Take ownership of key projects and objectives to enhance the people provision
  • Utilise data to produce effective MI to the business, including EXCO
  • Update the intranet as required
  • Administer BreatheHR and other HR administrative tasks as relevant
  • Support and mentor HR Apprentice

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be CIPD L5 qualified and have a broad range of experience at HR Advisor/HR Officer level. You will be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) and have the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will be organised and enjoy working in a fast paced and collaborative role as part of a high performing team. You keep abreast of all things HR and are able to contribute to the production of HR metrics and reports and well as on key HR projects.
