Due to a ramp up in production, we're currently looking for an additional 3 welders to temporarily assist the Cummins Emissions Plant in Darlington. The initial assignment duration will run through to the end of October and there is a possibility of extension.
Start date: asapPAYE rate: £16.93 (including holiday pay)
37.5 hours per week, work is split over two shift patterns as below;
Shift 1: Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm
Shift 2 Monday-Thursday 2pm - 11:30pm (Friday off)
Skillset and experience:
MIG or TIG welding experience (MIG is preferable) - able to weld to automotive quality standard (2-3mm) - Candidates from a general manufacturing background preferred - experience in automotive would be a big plus but is not required.
The main purpose of the position: manufacture by welding component parts to drawing specifications, engineering standards and accepted engineering principles. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is based at our Darlington site.
Interviews will be held onsite at the Darlington plant and will include a welding test (total duration around 2 hours).
