About the role
The role of IT Senior Analyst - Support and Transformation works within the IT team of Booker and is responsible for supporting and delivering effective, secure and efficient systems across the Trading, Finance, Operations and Branch teams. The role is responsible for the day-to-day support of colleagues within these business teams, taking ownership, ensuring the resolution of problem tickets, and providing knowledge and expertise to key partners to support decision-making.
Role Responsibility
The right candidate will lead the end-to-end life cycle of various SAP projects, from continuous improvement initiatives to delivering new functionality supporting Booker's Health/Safety/Legal, Customer Happiness, and Cash Profit agendas. This includes leading all aspects of system integration and interface development with SAP and several other business-critical platforms. Additionally, developing strong relationships with third-party software and integration partners, key business customers, and the wider departmental teams is crucial for this role.
The role requires an individual who can handle priorities effectively between support and project work, ensuring existing SLAs are adhered to, and meeting project results (such as timelines, budgets and partner management). Some ‘Out of Hours' work may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
You will need
- Confirmed experience of working within an FMCG SAP ECC6 Retail environment.
- Confirmed ability to articulate sophisticated business requirements by means of a functional and technical systems specification.
- Teamwork skills to work efficiently with internal team members and external partners.
- Excellence in building positive relationships with business partners
- ALE interface skills (IDOC and EDI) are preferable.
- Deliver continuous improvements.
- Desire to learn / contribute / drive progress.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate optimally and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Functional and technical project management skills and successful delivery within an SAP environment.
