Manufacturing Engineer

An exciting opportunity at a leading technology solutions provider has hit the market; the company is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer based in Luton.

The company provide a comprehensive range of vertically integrated design and manufacturing solutions with a focus on medium volume and high mix product profiles.

The Manufacturing Engineer will ensure that they focus on adding value, reducing waste, increase customer satisfaction and profitability.

Main responsibilities of the Luton based Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Generated quotations for Electronic Assemblies.
  • Produce work instructions to develop and improve production processes.
  • Produce accurate Bill of Materials (BOM's).
  • Produce customer required reports on RoHS, Conflict, Minerals, Lifecyle, Obsolescence and Counterfeit risk as requested.
  • Carry out product configuration through Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and concession management.
  • Implement practices that ensure the company deliver to the customer right the first time, every time.
  • Ensure the agreed New Production Introduction (NPI) process if followed to QMS 1013.
  • Provide robust and quantifiable estimated labour times for the assembly of new products.

Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer, based in Luton:

  • Degree qualified or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing skills.
  • Experience of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and databases.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects.
  • Electro-mechanical knowledge a distinct advantage.
