Marketing Director - Luxury Bookstore

Are you a dynamic and creative marketing professional with a passion for literature and fine collectibles? Our client, a world-leading rare book dealership based in South West London, is seeking a Head of Marketing to lead their brand's evolution across digital and traditional platforms.

The Role:

As the Head of Marketing, you will have the opportunity to shape and evolve our client's brand across all channels. Working closely with sales, cataloguing, and content teams, you will craft campaigns that align with the unique sales cycle of rare books while resonating strongly with the luxury market and the rare book collecting community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Shaping and evolving the brand across print, digital, in-store, and event marketing channels.
  • Creating campaigns that align with key themes, such as landmark books, collections, or seasonal trends.
  • Overseeing annual marketing schedules for catalogue launches, seasonal promotions, and advertising campaigns.
  • Managing and mentoring the marketing team to support ongoing company growth.
  • Engaging and managing agencies to execute fresh and innovative marketing ideas.
  • Communicating with the marketing and digital teams to ensure content aligns with the brand's reputation for accuracy and quality.

What we're looking for:

To excel in this role, you should have proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment. You should also have demonstrated experience in branding within the luxury retail sector and the ability to build strong brand identities. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management, and experience in managing B2C outreach, events, and promotional activities. Knowledge of luxury market demographics and strong written and spoken English are essential. While not essential, a demonstrable interest in literature would be desirable.

Perks and benefits:

  • An annual salary ranging from £70,000 to £80,000 dependent on experience.
  • 21 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Holiday purchase scheme.
  • Staff parties.
  • Employee assistance programme.
  • Season ticket loan.
  • Cyclescheme.
  • 7% employer pension contribution.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and sick pay.
  • Flu jab voucher.

Join our client's exciting journey and help shape their future within the luxury market. If you're passionate about literature, luxury collectibles, and bringing creative marketing ideas to life, we'd love to hear from you! Apply now and become a part of their success story.
