We are currently seeking a motivated and highly skilled Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant to join a multidisciplinary team for our client in Swindon, Wiltshire. Job Summary :

As a Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant , you will provide expert clinical care across various obstetric and gynaecological services. Your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, overseeing junior doctors, and contributing to the development of clinical protocols. You will also participate in teaching and research activities, ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist care in obstetrics and gynaecology, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services.
  • Manage patient care in labour and delivery, with a focus on high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform gynaecological surgeries such as hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and fertility treatments.
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical audits, and case reviews.
  • Engage in research, clinical teaching, and mentorship.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care and departmental services.

Requirements of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant:

  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) in Gynae/Oncology or equivalent.
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification recognized by PMETB.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent.
  • Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and complex gynaecological conditions.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to education, research, and ongoing professional development.

Desirable Skills:

  • Fellowship or additional qualifications in a subspecialty (e.g., Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Reproductive Medicine).
  • Experience in service development and clinical leadership.
