The school are looking for a dedicated and experienced Year 2 teacher to work with them full time, 5 days a week, from 8:30 till 3:30, starting from after Easter. The role is until the end of the academic year, but there is a potential for it to be longer. There are already schemes of work in place, resources for lessons are provided and a team for you to collaborate with.
In order to be a successful candidate:
- You must be a Qualified Teacher, who holds a QTS.
- You must have experience teaching in a primary school.
- ECTs are welcome to apply, but the role is not an ECT role.
- Good knowledge of KS2 curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of Year 2 students, fostering their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
- Monitor student progress, assess their strengths and areas for improvement and provide feedback.
- Implement behaviour management strategies that are positive and effective
