We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager for our client who is a very well-respected supplier of building materials into the trade and retail sectors.
Main duties/responsibilities
- Effective management of the team and resources
- Day to day management of all branch operations and support to branch manager
- Responsible for achieving branch and department sales targets
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers
- Dealing with emails and answering phones to customers/suppliers
- Stock ordering
- Assisting the Branch Manager to profitably meet and exceed the branch sales targets
- To regularly monitor staff performance within the branch
- Managing the sales office, branch purchasing and stock control
- Promptly and effectively handling complaints, to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Responsible for working with customers to continually monitor and improve levels of service
- To ensure that all staff and the branch adhere to company policies and systems including Health & Safety and environmental issues
- Carry out other duties which fall within reasonable expectations of the role.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the plumbing industry.
Working hours
Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm
Every other Saturday 7:30-12:30pm
