Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager (Sales Director Designate) - Ventilation & Ducting

Industry Sector: Data Centres, Life Sciences, Battery Manufacturing Plants, Large End Users, Ducting, Ventilation, HVAC, Air Conditioning, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Consulting Engineers, Ductwork, Specification Sales and Building Services

Area to be covered: UK & Ireland and Rest of Europe

Based: Ireland or open to UK

Remuneration: €70,000 - €85,000 Neg. + up to €50,000 uncapped commission

Benefits: €9,000 Car Allowance and comprehensive benefits

The role of the Senior Business Development Manager - Ventilation & Ducting will involve:

  • Senior field sales/ player-manager position (Sales Director in the future) promoting a globally patented flat-pack ducting system
  • Spending circa 30% of your time in Ireland, 10% in the UK and the rest in Europe
  • 50% of your tie selling direct into large end users customers (to date our client has won major projects within data centres, life sciences and battery manufacturing plants)
  • 50% of your time winning specification with M&E consultants, consulting engineers, M&E contractors, consulting engineers and other mechanical contractors
  • Project sizes from €250,000 up to €1m+
  • Personal revenue target of circa €4-5m, whilst overseeing the company target of €10-12m
  • Utilising a large amount of leads from our client's existing database, whilst also where possible networking within your own known contacts within M&E consultants, consulting engineers, M&E contractors, consulting engineers and other mechanical contractors

The ideal applicant will be a Senior Business Development Manager - Ventilation & Ducting with:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years field sales experience within the HVAC/ Building Services industry
  • Field sales team management experience is not essential but may be attractive
  • Must have sold M&E/ HVAC associated products such as; heating, ventilation, pipework, ductwork, insulation etc.
  • Must have some industry contacts within M&E consultants, consulting engineers, M&E contractors, consulting engineers and other mechanical contractors
  • Contacts within large end users such as; data centres, life sciences and battery manufacturing is not essential but may be advantageous
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring ability for the future
  • Confident and outgoing with brilliant communication skills
  • Diligent, trustworthy, honest and reliable
  • Computer literate
