Senior M&E Contract Manager - Permanent - Commercial Projects across East Anglia
A well-established mechanical and electrical services company are actively looking for an experienced Senior M&E Contract Manager for their expanding Suffolk office near Bury St Edmunds.
As the Senior M&E Contract Manager, you will be responsible to oversee the electrical and mechanical department.
They operate in various sectors including Defence (MOD & RAF), Healthcare and Commercial sector, with values ranging from £500 to £4m.
As the Senior M&E Contract Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage safe execution of projects from start to finish.
- Plan, structure and lead the planning of project programmes.
- Management of a team of M&E Project Manager and Project Engineers.
- Procurement of sub-contractor, materials, plant and labour.
- Experience in leading design from tender to construction.
- Engaging with Key Project Stakeholders.
- To be financially accountable for projects from inception ensuring profit margins are met and exceeded.
- Recruitment of team members.
- To have a good working understanding of NEC and JCT contracts.
- Managing change control and pricing variation.
- Full responsibility for a work stream MoD or Public Sector profit and loss and management of the clients key stakeholders.

- Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar management level.
- Experience of working on Commercial projects
- Design and build experience.
- Financially sound and commercially aware.
- Consistently good financial returns on projects, considering all relevant factors.
- Good people management and motivational skills.
- The ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
- SMSTS.
- Level 4 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Ideally have experience working in an NEC3 contact environment.
