Learning Support Assistant
Classroom Support are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a small SEN school in Islington for a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term supply basis.
The school is a small special day SEN school based in Islington for children with social, emotional, mental health and learning difficulties. Many of the pupils have ASD, ADHD or other difficulties such as attachment difficulties. The school has a mixed roll of students between the ages of 4 and 11.
There is a highly competitive rate of pay of £85-£95 per day, for working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm. Working days are Monday-Friday term time only.
Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant are:
- Experience supporting students with either, ASD, ADHD, or SEMH
- Experience working with students that have challenging behaviour
- Experience supporting students in 1:1 and group settings (any interventions experience is advantageous) or experience mentoring young people
- Experience working within a small SEN school is preferred
- Working under the guidance of the classroom Teacher and helping to prepare and plan daily resources for learning
