Head of Communications

We're looking for someone to tell our story. We are the largest asset manager outside of London or Edinburgh, responsible for investing £45bn in a responsible and sustainable manner.

We're now looking for a Head of Communications to protect and promote our corporate interests and deliver our business plan and its purpose.

You'll lead the implementation of the external and internal communications activity and provide effective leadership to maximise colleague experience and performance. You'll manage the communication programmes and work to support the delivery of our public affairs strategy including the development and activation of position papers.

About the Role:

We're looking for someone who has previous experience in the financial services sector (or another highly regulated industry) in the public or private sector along with advising senior leaders on strategic communications and policy. You'll have an excellent track record at handling sensitive policy issues with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness.

With outstanding written and verbal communication skills, you'll understand the policymaking process and have the ability to effectively lead, manage and develop reporting colleagues. Your experience will include the end-to-end management of corporate events and of building long term valuable relationships, particularly with media relations.

Border to Coast is a FCA regulated investment company created to pool the investments of like-minded Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds - our 'Partner Funds'.
