We are currently seeking a confident and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant primary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-2-1 or small group support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with classroom management and administrative tasks as required.
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional well-being among pupils.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their educational development.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Knowledge of SEN and experience with specific learning difficulties is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
