Interim Finance Officer

Are you a hardworking and dedicated Finance Officer looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in all parts of a busy finance team? Are you energetic, driven and inquisitive? Are you looking for a hybrid role in a bright and positive working environment?

My client is a not for profit organisation in the Middlesex area. Their targeted client base is fast moving, with high expectations of excellent customer service coming from Finance. This 3-6 month role as an Interim Finance Officer has the potential to become permanent and will work beneath a highly regarded Head of Finance, delivering on key responsibilities including:

  • Processing various ledger accounts, income and expenditure
  • Liaising with senior officials in the client base to respond to financial queries and communicate professionally on financial matters
  • Interrogating financial information and ensuring accuracy in the ledgers
  • Processing transactions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Taking direction from a supportive leader to deliver excellent levels of customer service.

This is a demanding role that will offer the successful candidate the chance to broaden their experience by engaging in all parts of the finance function while ultimately providing the foundations for successful and accurate financial information to support the business.

The postholder will work in the the very attractive office space three days each week. For the right candidate, a permanent opportunity could also be available at the end of the interim contract.

Before applying to this Interim Finance Officer role, please meet these criteria:

  • Be established in your career as a finance professional with good foundational knowledge in bookkeeping, double entry, and transactional finance, ideally with exposure to the preparation of financial statements
  • Be energetic, diligent, driven, and focused on delivering an excellent internal and external customer service
  • Hold a minimum of a full AAT qualification and ideally on your way towards professional qualification
