Are you an experienced estates and facilities management professional? Do you have strategic vision and natural leadership qualities? Our client, a Multi-Academy Trust of three academies, split between Doncaster & Scunthorpe, is seeking an Estates Director to provide the Trust and its academies with effective estates management.
The primary focus of the role is to lead on the management and development of the Trust's property portfolio and to ensure that all sites are safe environments and compliant with Health and Safety legislation.
Leading a team of six staff, the Estates Director will be responsible for:
- Planning, development and delivery of estate management functions across all schools.
- Lead on all Health & Safety issues
- Manage cleaning, caretaking and estates contracts and lead on capital projects
- Manage all estates budgets
- Regularly visit and audit sites, documenting findings and acting on them
- Keyholder responsible for opening/closing sites when required
The successful Estates Director will hold a qualification in IOSH/NEBOSH or studying towards this, which the Trust will support, coupled with a good understanding of current Estates Management and Health & Safety legislation.
A natural leader, you will display a conscientious and logical approach to the variety of tasks necessary for the smooth and efficient running of the academies and be professional at all times. Good computer literacy together with written and verbal communication skills are critical.
A full driving licence and the use of your own vehicle to visit other sites (expenses will be covered) is essential for this post.
