We are working with a highly regarded not for profit organisation who are recruiting for an ambitious Trusts, Grants & Major Donor Fundraiser to join their fundraising team. This position offers hybrid working, generous holidays and the opportunity to work for an in creative and fabulous team. Our client will also consider a candidate on a part time basis, 4 days a week.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven fundraising professional to join a dedicated team, helping to develop their current fundraising activity to reach their ambitious fundraising income targets.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the post-holder will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with Trusts and Foundations, major donors and prospective donors in order to secure funds so the Trust can continue their vital work across the country.

Duties will include;

  • Working closely with the fundraising team, senior managers, senior volunteers and the wider team
  • Developing relationships with existing Trusts and Foundations, Donors and Stakeholders
  • Producing high quality, tailored Trust and Foundation applications including researching, planning, reporting and seeing through to completion
  • Securing donations from trusts and foundations in order to meet annual income targets
  • Managing relationships, reporting, and handling application cycles for Trusts and Foundations ensuring excellent stewardship of all grants
  • Monitoring grant requirements and compliance, ensuring accurate reporting to funders and that all records are maintained accurately on the database
  • Research and identify potential funders or prospects for new applications and establish a pipeline of potential approaches to grow the number of grants
  • CRM management
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to understand the organisation as a whole, identifying any new opportunities for fundraising activities

Key Skills:

  • Experience in any not for profit, public sector or third party role would be necessary
  • Proven, and evidenced experience delivering in a similar role and successfully bringing in money
  • Experience in identifying, sourcing and writing applications
  • Confidence using CRM databases (preferably Raisers Edge or similar), high-level working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Numeracy skills with the ability to analyse reports and budgets
