About the Business
We have an opportunity for you to be a Commercial Management Accountant for an excellent service business in Birmingham. The company is a fantastic business with a £200 million turnover and great plans for further growth.
Main Duties:
As a Commercial Management Accountant, your main duties include:
- Ensuring that monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts are produced in an accurate and timely fashion
- Preparing comprehensive and clear commentary for monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Providing analytical review and support for budget and forecast submissions
- Analysing and challenging current practices and processes to increase profitability and continuous improvement
- Assisting in the production of statutory accounts
- Production of financial information for auditors, banks, shareholders, and other external bodies
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Location / Office / Culture
This role is based at the business park near Birmingham Airport. The company will offer hybrid working patterns. The finance team tends to go in 2/3 times a week.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least two years' experience in a management accounting role
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (newly qualified or finalist)
- Excellent organisational skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills
