Our client, a leading organisation in the police industry, is seeking an Information Sharing Researcher to join their team on a fixed-term contract.

As an Information Sharing Researcher, you will be responsible for carrying out research and making disclosures in response to information requests received by our client's Information Unit. You will play a crucial role in inputting accurate and relevant data into the appropriate database, maintaining it throughout the lifecycle of the case. Additionally, you will carry out research in response to Data Protection subject access requests and provide support to colleagues in relation to other requests.

To excel in this role, you will need a working knowledge of various relevant legislative acts, particularly the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulations. Attention to detail and the ability to make reasoned decisions around sensitive issues are essential. The role requires managing high work volumes with minimal supervision, using your own initiative to meet deadlines and present work in an accurate and appropriate format. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in maintaining accurate records and filing systems are also key attributes.

Our client is looking for someone who can communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. You will be an internal contact for other departments across the organisation, and effective communication with partner agencies, members of the public, and other bodies will be crucial. Therefore, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work discreetly and confidentially with sensitive information are essential.

The appointed candidate will be offered a full-time position on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will be working at our client's Force Headquarters and will be expected to work 37 hours per week. In return, our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
