Our client, an award-winning international commercial law firm, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join their Health Litigation team in Liverpool or fully remote. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with defendant clinical negligence experience to advance their career within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of clinical negligence files for NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and other defendant clients, contributing to the success of the Health Litigation team and the wider organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical negligence files, including drafting reports and statements
- Instruct experts and counsel, and attend court hearings
- Negotiate settlements and prepare for trials and mediations
- Build and maintain client and internal relationships
- Contribute to business development by seeking new opportunities
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with defendant clinical negligence experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of clients' needs, expectations and protocols
- Proactive and pragmatic approach with focus on quality
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
