We have a great opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our team within Vistry Services, supporting our West region from Bristol. As our HR Business Partner, you will provide proactive, value adding, strategically aligned support to the Regional Managing Directors and Regional Board Directors in the development and delivery of people strategies in line with business goals. To be an active member of the Regional management teams and to act as a change agent in managing organisational change.

  • Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role with experience of a multi-site environment

  • Extensive relevant experience

  • Excellent coaching, influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to manage a large group of stakeholders at a senior level

  • Delivery focussed with the drive to overcome barriers to success

  • Excellent judgement, considered approach and intuition ensures the right decisions are made for both the individual and the business

  • Monitoring and implementing HR policy and practice

  • Handling high volume of complex employee relations issues

  • Excellent working knowledge of employment law with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations

  • Excellent understanding of HR best practice and ability to apply this to employee relations cases

  • Experience of leading on organisational change projects including restructures

  • Strong Microsoft office skills and experience of HR systems

  • Coaching skills

  • An understanding of GDPR

  • Innovative approach to problem solving

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexible and willing to be involved in a variety of tasks

  • Not afraid to challenge in order to get results and has a strong sense of resilience

  • Able to build strong, credible business relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Desirable...

  • CIPD level 5 or higher

  • Experience of working within the construction industry or similar

  • Tribunal case management

  • Work collaboratively with Business Unit leaders and drive strategic HR discussions.

  • In collaboration with Business Unit leaders, develop Talent Plans for each region within your responsibility.

  • Drive performance management within your regions and provoke positive changes in people management.

  • Coach, guide and provide expert and pro-active support and guidance to Business Unit Leaders and Managers on HR matters including policies, procedures, best practice, employment legislation, organisational design, wellbeing, rewards and benefits.

  • Champion and monitor the HR KPI's within your regions and proactively work with the Business Unit Leaders to improve productivity.

  • Work collaboratively with the People Development team to agree and implement development solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with the internal Recruitment team to ensure resourcing plans are met, and that managers are equipped with the necessary recruitment skills.

  • Ensure organisational HR policies and procedures are up to date and meet changing business needs.

  • Act as the custodian of the Vistry Group values and ensure positive action is being taken to drive our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing and Engagement.

  • Develop and deliver regular HR Workshops in order to upskill managers and ensure they are equipped to meet their people management responsibilities.

  • Support cultural change programmes and ensure they are implemented across your regions as required.

  • Involvement in Group wide HR projects to ensure deadlines are met and desired outcomes are achieved.

  • Develop, build and maintain internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and professional bodies to enhance the quality of HR service across the business.

  • Management and development of a HR Advisor, ensuring support is given for more complex Employee Relations cases in order to mitigate any organisational risk.
