We are working with an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary school in Northamptonshire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent role for the autumn term. Due to this being a permanent role, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking. You must be a qualified teacher (ECTs are welcome to apply) and have recent experience teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Job Description:

  • Delivering engaging and creative science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and preparing schemes for work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field
  • Recent experience teaching science at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
