Our goal is to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all our students, particularly those with special educational needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and help us provide tailored educational support to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.
- Collaborate with the SEN Coordinator to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support the development and delivery of differentiated learning materials.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing both academic and emotional needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management and organisation.
- Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in an SEN setting.
- A patient and empathetic approach with a solid understanding of special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
