£90-£110 a day depending on experience as an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school in Brent who are seeking an experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to work as part of their team. This is a welcoming and warm school where everyone works together to create an educational experience that enables pupils to achieve to their full potential. They have high expectations of pupils' behaviour, not only in school but within the local community.
As a EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant you will be expected to work alongside the class teacher to ensure pupils wellbeing and individual needs are being met, set up the classroom with activities, prepare learning materials and providing one to one support with pupils SEN. You will supervise during play/mealtime and create a positive learning environment.
As a EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to:
- Support an EYFS class with pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Plan fun and exciting activities based around the curriculum
- Support pupils with challenging behaviours
- Adapt teaching support according to pupils learning needs
- Support children's physical, social and emotional welfare which will include personal care
- Attend review meetings regarding pupils progress
- Help pupils to develop independence
The ideal candidate for a EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- CACHE Level 2/3 in child care
- Experience in a nursery/primary setting
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Right to work within the UK
- Overseas criminal clearance
- To work full time and start in September
