Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Financial Accountant for a growing business with a UK Head Office based in York. This varied role will expose the successful candidate to a wide range of financial reporting while also working closely with the Senior Leadership team
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Controller and working on a hybrid basis, duties and responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
- Work closely with Finance colleagues to understand underlying ledgers used in statutory accounts preparation, constructively challenging as appropriate.
- Assist in preparation of year-end tax support information.
- Assist in dealing with requests from the external auditors.
- Support delivery of a robust internal control environment ensuring compliance with all internal procedures and reporting standards.
The Candidate
To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Experience in preparing or auditing statutory accounts.
- Proficient in Excel; SAP S/4HANA and OneStream experience a bonus.
- Analytical, methodical and logical in approach.
Salary & Benefits
In return, the successful Financial Accountant will receive the following:
- £40,000 - £50,000 base salary
- 25 days holidays
