Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress through a range of assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and contribute to the overall development of the school's curriculum.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities and events that promote religious and cultural understanding.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of major world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical perspectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate meaningful discussions on sensitive topics.
  • Passionate about promoting respect for religious and cultural diversity and fostering a positive learning environment.
