Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join their well established company in Milton Keynes. They are seeking a confident and personable Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in handling escalations, leading project work, and ensuring smooth business-as-usual operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, with a strong background in IT support and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services with applications.
- Monitor and optimise cloud performance, cost, and security.
- Automate deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Has ideally worked for an MSP or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and database management in a cloud environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
