Our client has a newly created Ecommerce Marketplace Executive role based at their Halifax site. This is an excellent opportunity to join the ecommerce team as they continue to expand due to company growth across all sites.
Main Purpose of Job:
The Ecommerce Marketplace Executive is responsible for managing product listings, optimising performance, and driving growth across online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, ManoMano, etc. This role combines strategic planning, data analysis, and operational execution to enhance the brand's presence, increase sales, and improve customer engagement on various marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities:

Marketplace Management & Optimization:

Oversee and manage the company's presence on multiple online marketplaces, ensuring products are presented and optimized for maximum visibility and sales.

Maintain compliance with marketplace rules, policies, and standards to ensure smooth operations and minimise risks to account health.

Product Listings & Content Management:

Create and manage high-quality product listings, including images, descriptions, pricing, and attributes, ensuring they align with brand standards and are optimised for search and conversion.

Perform regular audits to maintain consistency and accuracy across product listings, adjusting content and keywords to improve search ranking and discoverability.

Sales Performance & Data Analysis:

Monitor and analyse sales, traffic, and conversion metrics to assess performance across marketplaces, identifying trends, areas for growth, and any potential issues.

Use marketplace analytics tools to provide insights and make data-driven decisions to improve overall marketplace sales, performance, and profitability.

Promotional Planning & Campaign Execution:

Develop and execute content and promotional plans that align with company goals, marketplace dynamics, and competitor activities to drive conversion and profitability.

Plan and execute promotional activities such as seasonal sales, flash discounts, and sponsored ads to boost visibility and attract new customers.

Advertising & Return on Ad Spend (ROAS):

Manage and optimise marketplace advertising campaigns to improve product visibility and achieve targeted return on ad spend (ROAS).

Customer Feedback & Issue Resolution:

Monitor customer feedback and reviews, addressing any issues promptly and working with the customer support team to resolve complaints, refunds, or returns.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, product, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches, promotions, and demand planning.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to stay current with marketplace trends, pricing, and promotions.

Adjust marketplace strategies in response to competitor actions, emerging trends, and platform algorithm changes.

Performance Reporting & Insights:

Prepare and present regular performance reports to stakeholders, outlining key insights, trends, and actionable recommendations for growth.

Strategic Expansion:

Contribute to the overall marketplace strategy by identifying opportunities for expansion, such as exploring new marketplaces or international growth.
Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Attributes:

E-Commerce & Retail Experience:

A background in E-Commerce or retail would be beneficial.

Strong organisational and analytical skills with experience in marketplace management and integration technology.

Strategic understanding of online retail dynamics.

Platform Familiarity:

Familiarity with platforms like Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub, and digital advertising tools.
