Our client is a leading, world renowned Global Commodity trading company.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with strong communication skills to join our clients wider Treasury team, within the Commodity industry.
As Treasury Operations Manager you will be accountable for supporting the Head of Treasury and Trade Finance in ensuring a timely, accurate and complete end-to-end Settlements process for London. Working closely with counterparts in Financial Operations, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Trade Finance along with external banking partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise a small Team of Treasury operations analysts, completing annual appraisals and continuous performance reviews.
- Timely settlement of payments.
- Checking & releasing high value payments.
- Managing Third Party Payments & Receipts.
- Counterparty SSI Management.
- Foreign Exchange settlements.
- Administer banking and other Treasury systems.
- Treasury performance & KPI reporting.
- Manage Bank account related documentation.
- Investigate & resolve bank and payment issues.
- Validation of transactional banking charges.
- Bank Account Reconciliations.
- Monitoring and resolving unallocated cash.
- Maintaining Treasury RACMS in compliance with UK CR and audit.
- Identifying and mitigating risks on an ongoing basis.
- Keeping up with regulatory & SWIFT changes in the payment space.
- Maintaining a good relationship with cash management banks ensuring a high level of service provided.
- Advising the business of payment related queries.
- Support M&A & other corporate initiatives.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a solid academic background.
- Solid work-based experience in a banking and / or commodities
- Knowledge of banking platforms & Treasury functions; experienced in building and maintaining relationships with cash management banks.
- Commodities settlement experience is desirable but not crucial. Instead, a curiosity about the industry and self-motivation to learn are more significant.
