If the answer is Yes, keep reading. A Wantage baed Primary school is on the look-out for enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support. You would be responsible to supervise and monitor the learning progression of Oxfordshire pupils, to identify any areas of weakness - instaling methods to overcome any challenges.
You will be supported by the KS1/KS2 class teacher in how to offer any required 1:1 teaching, especially for SEN children. The SEN needs for the students are primarily ADHD, ASD, ADD, Autism and challenging behaviour.
There is an opportunity to work in KS1 or KS2, the headteacher will take the right candidates stengths on-board.
Location: Wantage - OX12
Primary School Salary: £83 - £90 (day rate dependant on experience)

Qualifications:
- Hold a bachelor's degree (2:2 or above).
- Experience working with KS1/KS2 children or in an educational setting
- Experience working with SEN students (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with EAL
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
EAL Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general class support and SEN in small groups or 1:1.
- To assist with the general pastoral care of KS1/KS2 SEN
- Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
- Actively encourage the inclusion of all students to participate in the life and activities of the Wantage Primary school.
- Support the KS1/KS2 teacher with monitoring progress.
- Assisting in the planning and learning activities.
- Support pupils with their educational and social development by modelling positive behaviour and demonstrating high expectations.
