What you'll do:
As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward improvements to budgeting, forecasting and rebilling processes. You will be responsible for leading on the annual review and revision of internal rebilling allocations, implementing the agreed framework methodology for these allocations, and preparing monthly supporting schedules and invoicing. Your role will also involve monitoring business cost control/reporting and intragroup rebilling associated with business lines on a monthly basis. You will serve as a key point of contact for Group Finance, focusing on global alignment of P&L reporting methodology. Your ability to work under pressure to strict timelines will be crucial in this role.
Manage short- and medium-term budgeting of revenues, costs and balance sheet.
Consolidate and analyse strategic financial plans.
Prepare performance management information against strategic objectives.
Lead on the annual review and revision of internal rebilling allocations.
Implement the agreed framework methodology for the internal rebilling allocations.
Monitor business cost control/reporting and intragroup rebilling associated with business lines on a monthly basis.
Serve as key point of contact for Group Finance.
Participate in the operational work of the wider finance function.
Ensure that financial risks are appropriately managed.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Financial Controller role will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3+ years post qualification experience and at least 2 years' experience within financial services. You will have proven experience of financial control in a medium / large Group environment and a good understanding and working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and regulatory reporting. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with senior stakeholders. Strong Excel skills, including basic data modelling, are essential for this role, as is the ability to work under pressure to strict timelines.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
3+ years post qualification experience with at least 2 years' experience within financial services.
Proven experience of financial control in a medium / large Group environment.
Good understanding and working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.
Good understanding and working knowledge of regulatory reporting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrable experience of effective teamwork.
Experience of working with senior stakeholders.
Strong Excel skills, including basic data modelling.
Ability to work under pressure to strict timelines.
