About the Role:
Salt's Local Government team is partnering with a leading council to deliver a major IT Infrastructure Transformation and Upgrade Programme. We are seeking an experienced AV Infrastructure Manager to play a crucial role in modernising and upgrading the council's technology systems, specifically focusing on AV solutions and hybrid meeting capabilities.
This exciting role will involve deploying and upgrading audio-visual technology across various council buildings, including digital signage and hybrid meeting systems. The successful candidate will help shape the council's future infrastructure services, contributing to the enhancement of community services and council operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment of AV/IT systems, including audio, digital signage, and hybrid meeting technologies.
- Develop and write detailed AV technology requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and procurement of AV solutions across council buildings.
- Collaborate closely with the existing AV and network teams, ensuring smooth integration across infrastructure services.
- Report and provide updates on project progress in line with the council's change management framework.
- Support the transition and development of the council's AV offerings, enhancing internal operations and community engagement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in managing and deploying AV technologies in a large organisation.
- Strong background in writing technical requirements and specifications for AV systems.
- Experience working on infrastructure transformation projects, with a focus on AV and IT integration.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including AV, IT, and network services.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and report on progress.
Desirable Skills:
- Local Government or Wider Public Sector experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and change management frameworks.
