Employment Solicitor

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our client, an established Newcastle based Legal firm. The role sits within their busy Employment department, focusing predominantly on employer-related work. Day to Day of the role:
- Provide advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of employment law and HR-related matters.
- Manage your own caseload while supporting the Head of Department with complex files.
- Draft and amend documentation including contracts, service agreements, employee handbooks, and internal policies.
- Offer corporate support on employment matters arising from transactional work, including due diligence and TUPE.
- Defend claims before the Employment Tribunal, including preparation of evidence and negotiation of settlements.
- Contribute to monthly bulletins, press articles, and prepare and speak at client-focused seminars and other business development initiatives.
- Attend meetings with prospective clients to discuss our fixed price employment product.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4 years + PQE but open to candidates at all levels of experience.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask and work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable dealing with a diverse and busy workload.
- Experience in managing a caseload and supporting complex legal files.
