We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our client, an established Newcastle based Legal firm. The role sits within their busy Employment department, focusing predominantly on employer-related work. This is an opportunity to be part of a firm that values teamwork, excellent client service, professionalism, and the development of its people.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of employment law and HR-related matters.
  • Manage your own caseload while supporting the Head of Department with complex files.
  • Draft and amend documentation including contracts, service agreements, employee handbooks, and internal policies.
  • Offer corporate support on employment matters arising from transactional work, including due diligence and TUPE.
  • Defend claims before the Employment Tribunal, including preparation of evidence and negotiation of settlements.
  • Contribute to monthly bulletins, press articles, and prepare and speak at client-focused seminars and other business development initiatives.
  • Attend meetings with prospective clients to discuss our fixed price employment product.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 years + PQE but open to candidates at all levels of experience.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with a diverse and busy workload.
  • Experience in managing a caseload and supporting complex legal files.
