We are seeking a Case Administrator with a strong background in employment-related matters to join our team. The role involves streamlining case load management, ensuring the case database is up-to-date, and managing claims made against the Client. This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience and offers a competitive hourly rate for a standard working week.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Liaise with the Head of Legal Services to review and implement case load management efficiencies.
  • Ensure the case database is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
  • Oversee the opening of new cases, ensuring all data and claims aspects are logged and processed correctly.
  • Manage claims made against the Union, including identifying potential issues and liaising with the insurer to lodge new claims.
  • Coordinate the gathering and collating of all necessary documents, adhering to time limits, and writing responses in line with insurer's requirements.
  • Communicate assertively, sensitively, and discreetly with individuals at all levels.
  • Provide empathetic and supportive responses to enquiries.
  • Impart advice in a logical manner and prioritise multiple tasks to meet departmental needs.
  • Delegate effectively and manage both personal workload and the work of others.
  • Work to tight timescales and under pressure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience dealing with employment-related matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, both on the telephone and face-to-face.
  • Ability to be empathetic and supportive while handling enquiries.
  • Strong prioritisation skills for multitasking and activity management.
  • Effective delegation and workload control.
  • Resilience to work under pressure and within tight timescales.
  • Proficient in managing information systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, the Internet, and databases.
  • Knowledge of Proclaim or the ability to quickly gain a detailed understanding.
