Our client, ABN AMRO, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Crime Officer to join their Compliance department in London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the advisory, monitoring, and training processes connected with the financial crime oversight framework. What you'll do:
As a Financial Crime Officer at ABN AMRO, you will be instrumental in supporting the MLRO in enhancing the firm's financial crime oversight framework. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing expert advice on financial crime matters, conducting regular monitoring activities, and undertaking client file reviews as necessary. You will also assist in maintaining robust policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Furthermore, you will contribute to periodic reporting on key metrics related to financial crime. A significant part of your role will involve identifying and assessing financial crime risks systematically.

  • Assist the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in providing proactive, expert financial crime advisory services
  • Undertake financial crime monitoring activities as directed by the MLRO
  • Conduct ad hoc client file reviews in relation to emerging risks or concerns
  • Assist in maintaining adequate policies and procedures for compliance with relevant regulations
  • Provide input on periodic Dashboard and MI reporting relating to financial crime matters
  • Identify and assess financial crime risks systematically

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Financial Crime Officer role at ABN AMRO brings a wealth of experience in AML and financial crime. She holds professional qualifications such as the CISI Diploma or equivalent. She has demonstrated her ability to conduct AML & financial crime monitoring activities effectively and can produce comprehensive written recommendations. Her conflict resolution skills are exceptional, enabling her to handle confrontations tactfully. She is self-motivated, well-organised, and can work independently while being a strong team player. Her command of the English language, both written and oral, is excellent.

  • Experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and financial crime is highly desirable
  • Professional qualifications such as the CISI Diploma or equivalent are beneficial
  • Working experience within the Banking industry is essential
  • Ability to undertake AML & financial crime monitoring activities and produce written recommendations
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with an ability to deal tactfully with confrontation
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently while being a strong team player
  • Excellent command of English language both written and orally
