About you:?
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across the Product & Engineering function with a particular focus on Engineering Excellence. You will identify, analyse and define initiatives that will support teams in their decision-making, predictability, and consistency in terms of quality, reporting and overall performance. You will lead the execution and roll out of these initiatives working closely with the Excellence team for support, using your expertise in software engineering and delivery to advise and drive on best practices. You will continue to monitor and measure the success of initiative implementation and feedback into the improvement lifecycle as appropriate.
You enjoy building relationships to enable collaborative working with a wide group of peers and stakeholders. You enjoy inspiring and influencing others and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Day-to-day, you will:?
- Conduct a SWOT analysis across the P&E function (Engineering, QA, DevOps) to identify areas for improvement by engaging with key stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Lead workshops and interviews to gather feedback and analyze the need for improvement, then create and present recommendations for changes in processes, systems, tooling, and learning to key stakeholders.
- Align recommendations with company and functional objectives, lead the execution and rollout of initiatives, and develop guidance and training materials.
- Monitor and measure the success of implemented initiatives, manage queries and issues, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Your skills and experiences might also include:??
- Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle, experience in P&E teams, and knowledge of CI/CD; ideally experienced as a Senior Engineer and/or Team Lead (full stack).
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale initiatives with strong change management skills, attention to detail, and process definition capabilities.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, effective in bringing people on board with new initiatives; confident in influencing and presenting to large audiences and senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments, skilled in coordination, planning, and prioritizing work within a scrum setting; committed to creating comprehensive documentation and demonstrating ownership and responsibility.
