Job Title: Assistant Payroll Manager
Location: Preston – 3 days a week in the office
Salary: £35,000
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Payroll Manager to join our client's accountancy team in Preston. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payrolls and providing vital support to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Process payrolls accurately and efficiently while meeting client deadlines
- Monitor and review payroll-related changes
- Assist with the preparation of payroll reports
- Liaise with other departments and external agencies regarding payroll-related queries
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement new procedures to improve payroll processes
- Provide advice and assistance to staff on payroll-related matters
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other payroll software
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
