Performance Tester - Bristol £70,000

I am recruiting for a Non-Functional Tester specialising in Performance Testing to join my client, based in Bristol. They offer a hybrid working model, with the expectation of being in the office 3 days a week, but are very flexible on the hours you work during those days. They also provide on-site parking if required.

The company develops software that improves the lives of millions and are looking for an experienced Performance Tester to help drive their mission forward. In this role, you'll define a sustainable non-functional test strategy to support the Continuous Integration needs of their projects. You'll also advocate for early creation and continuous evolution of non-functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

They currently have several contract Performance Testers and one permanent employee and are now looking to hire expand their permanent team and hire a Senior Performance Tester. In this role, you will work across multiple streams and will need to have extensive experience with JMeter and Java, as their performance frameworks are built using Java.

Key Responsibilities will involve:

  • Design, execute, and analyse performance tests using JMeter.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimise applications.
  • Work with Java-based frameworks to ensure the systems' scalability and reliability.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations based on test results.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with JMeter for performance testing.
  • Strong understanding of Java to work effectively with their custom-built frameworks.
  • Ability to analyse system performance and identify potential improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to work from their Bristol office 3 days a week.
