What we can offer you:

  • A guaranteed basic salary of £25,000 + OTE of £50,000
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hrs per week (4 shifts 9am – 5pm, 1 shift 12pm – 8pm)

We are looking to add to our already experienced and successful Renewals team in our Taunton office! As a business we advise upon individual Private Medical Insurance policies, using a panel of the UK's leading insurance providers, such as Aviva, AXA, Bupa and Vitality to name a few. This role is responsible for the retention and growth of our renewal book, providing best advice to clients on the renewal of their PMI policy. This may be recommending switching to a new provider if you can offer them better cover elsewhere or staying with their current provider for the next 12 months – this is an advised, telephone-based role.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Contacting and responding to telephone, email, internet, correspondence, providing advice, quotations and recommendation of ‘best advice' to the clients demands and needs.
  • Maintain the Client Management Database with accurate client data and considering any Data Protection issues.
  • Ensuring to do lists are up to date and complete, requesting assistance where required
  • Responding to all correspondences in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the sales process and apply this in all sales related processes.
  • Consider all underwriting, regulatory and insurer requirements in all transactions.
  • Achieve Monthly and Annual targets.
  • To provide appropriate client specific advice in relation to the sale/renewal of high premium/complex insurance products in accordance with the legislative and procedural requirements.
  • To maintain, develop and service existing and new clients, ensuring that the Company's compliance systems and procedures are utilised.
  • To answer any and all calls, provide assistance to the enquirer/caller as and where appropriate and take messages.
  • To attend training courses as and when required so as to develop and maintain relevant product knowledge, administrative techniques and the skills required to perform the job role.
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate both internally and externally in order to optimise quality of service, profitable business growth, sustainable relationships and customer satisfaction.
  • Construct effective written communications (including but not limited to letters and emails).
  • To ensure the highest level of quality, accuracy and efficiency is maintained at all times.
  • Deal with enquiries promptly referring the query to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside the job holder's own knowledge and experience

Experience required:

  • Experience in relationship building with clients and internal/external colleagues.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Programs.
  • A proven ability to negotiate successfully on behalf of customers.
  • Previous experience working in a target driven sales environment preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and continuous improvement experience.
  • Professional, customer focused approach internally and externally when dealing with colleagues and distribution partners.
