Exciting Opportunity: Languages Teaching Assistant in LS10
Are you passionate about languages and helping students overcome language barriers? Veritas Education is looking for a dedicated Languages Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in LS10. This full-time position offers the chance to make a real difference by supporting a diverse group of students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and enhancing their educational experience.
Position Details:
- Role: Languages Teaching Assistant
- Location: Primary School, LS10
- Start Date: As soon as possible (subject to completion of compliance checks)
- Contract: Temporary to Permanent
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm
- Pay: £85 - £90 per day initially
Key Responsibilities:
- Support EAL students across various year groups in all aspects of their education
- Help break down barriers to learning and facilitate effective communication
- Work closely with teachers to implement strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Assist in the development of language skills and academic progress
We Are Looking For:
- Individuals with a background in languages, including recent graduates, those with TEFL certification, or experience tutoring international students
- Candidates who are adaptable and happy to support students across different year groups
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one upon successful registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Evidence of previous employment or academic references
