I am recruiting on behalf of an excellent multi site business based in Watford looking for a permanent payroll manager.
This role will involve managing a small team and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.

- Demonstrated the ability to effectively juggle the responsibilities linked with managing multiple projects at the same time
- Build relationships with the stakeholders involved in the project - helping to take them on the journey - keeping them informed
- Delivered the projects in line with the set deadlines Responsibilities of the role
- Investigate and learn current payroll process and identify how this will be impacted by the proposed changes
- Work closely with strategic leads and create project plans that outline the activity required to deliver the stated projects
- Run shadow payroll runs in preparation for the launch
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:
- Experience of successfully processing a monthly and weekly/biweekly payroll run for a similar sized organisation
- Demonstrable project management experience
- Close attention to detail when reviewing all pay related data
- Ability to produce, analyse and summarise pay related data for reporting and ad-hoc requests
- Strong knowledge on payroll legislation
- Ability to work constructively and effectively with external suppliers
