This prestigious membership body is recruiting a Policy Adviser to undertake research and provide analysis of key political and economic issues affecting members, creating effective policy products aimed at influencing key decision-makers across the world.
Key Responsibilities for the Policy Adviser:
- Produce high-quality policy and research products - including policy position statements and Green Papers - in line with the organisation's influencing strategy, based on the insight of subject matter experts.
- Respond to media requests for professional opinion on industry matters, in conjunction with Communications team.
- Provide advice and insight on issues affecting infrastructure and engineering development, ensuring the organisation continues to remain connected on behalf of members.
- Identify and attend events to promote policy positions and further develop the organisation's stakeholder network.
- Arrange meetings with policymakers to highlight policy positions and latest activity.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Educated to degree standard, or with an equivalent level of experience.
- Experience of undertaking research, and organising workshops and interviews to collect information.
- Report-writing, brief-writing, and project management experience.
- Strong understanding of public policy making processes in government, and excellent written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Able to work autonomously and manage own workload.
Salary and Details:
- c£38,000 to c£46,000 per annum.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Office in Central London, with provision to work remotely for part of the week.
- 25 days' annual leave, with the ability to buy/sell additional days.
