Are you a skilled Buyer with expertise in the engineering or manufacturing sector. We're searching for a results-driven, strategic professional to join a progressive global company. This pivotal role involves managing the entire procurement lifecycle, focusing on sourcing precision machine components and essential spare parts. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across the UK and Europe to ensure seamless operations and drive strategic procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities as a Buyer:

  • Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, negotiate, and acquire machine components and spare parts, ensuring alignment with operational objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work in synergy with engineering teams, project managers, and senior stakeholders to accurately capture procurement needs and optimise resource allocation.
  • Cost Management and Efficiency: Lead initiatives to achieve cost efficiencies by analysing supplier markets and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Supplier and Contract Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal contract terms.
  • Process Improvement: Actively contribute to procurement process improvements, aligning with company standards and best practices.

Candidate Experience -

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing or engineering environment with a solid understanding of technical engineering drawings.
  • Advanced Negotiation and Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Procurement Lifecycle Management: Competence in overseeing end-to-end procurement processes, from sourcing to supplier performance management.
  • Problem-Solving and Initiative: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving procurement challenges.
  • Project Management Acumen: While not essential, experience in project management is advantageous.
