Master Data Clerk Role Overview

I am looking for a Master Data Clerk to join an internationally operating business in Manchester. This is a business-critical role that will support the transactional finance team to accurately record and analyse supplier and customer information.

This is an ideal opportunity for somebody with master data or data analysis experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and inclusive business. You will act as a point of contact for both business suppliers and customers and so excellent communication skills, and a customer service focussed approach are essential.

Master Data Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer and supplier inboxes, responding to queries as required.
  • Ensure that up to date and accurate credit limits are checked and applied to customer accounts.
  • Manage internal interfaces to ensure the accuracy of recorded supplier and customer data.
  • Perform regular audits of data to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure that any changes to customer or supplier data is updated and recorded.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of billing and payment details on supplier and customer accounts.
  • Analyse supplier and customer accounts, reporting on findings to the senior team as required.
  • Support with regular data cleansing projects.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to update accounts and request additional data as required.

Master Data Clerk Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a master data or data analysis position.
  • The ability to accurately manage and record high volumes of data in a fast paced and often target driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders (previous customer service experience is highly advantageous)
  • Interested in developing a career within master data or credit analysis.
  • The ability to work in a hybrid position (2 days WFH)
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work well as part of a friendly team.
