We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Assistant to join a reputable procurement team in Worcester. This role involves a variety of tasks including preparing and issuing orders, obtaining material quotations, resolving invoice disputes, and providing comprehensive administrative support. The ideal candidate will be key in managing administrative and providing support across the team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Prepare and issue small material orders in line with project requirements.
  • Obtain material quotations as per the Site Team's or Contract's needs.
  • Assist in resolving invoice disputes and process orders using term deals.
  • Make card payments over the phone for transactional needs and reconcile Purchase cards with accurate coding.
  • Upload VAT invoices and maintain accurate records.
  • Support the Procurement team with governance processes, template maintenance, and liaising with approvers for package approvals.
  • Assist the Head of Procurement with the completion of Sub-Contract award processes.
  • Provide a comprehensive administration function as required, including report generation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to quickly pick up new skills and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Some Excel skills or willingness to learn relevant functions
  • Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.
