Finance Manager – Controllership

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Bonus: 10% to 20%

Distinct Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager in Controllership to join a top multinational company in Nottingham. As a vital member of the Finance team, you will report directly to the Head of Finance – Financial Control and will be responsible for overseeing accurate month-end close processes, ensuring adherence to controls, and providing technical accounting advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of all accounting records and month-end closes.
  • Collaborate closely with the FP&A and Business Partnering teams to ensure a streamlined and efficient finance function.
  • Take a proactive approach to resolving any accounting issues that may arise and provide support for audits.
  • Maintain SOX compliance and assist with IFRS statutory accounts.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience: You should have demonstrable experience working within a finance function, with a strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX controls.
  • Skills: We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
