Competitive salary dependent on exp + OTE + car allowance

40 hours per week

Area covered: South of Northampton including London.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales & Business Development Manager to work for an established market leading manufacturer of high-end precision machined components.

Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Manager

  • Maintain and develop our current key accounts within the segment via effective Key Account Management, developing account development plans.
  • Work with existing customers to identify any Value adding activities that will support and strengthen our partnerships.
  • Identify new targets that will sustainably support the growth objectives of the High-tech Industrial sector.
  • Effectively onboard new accounts and develop plans to create a dependent partnership.
  • Actively manage and take responsibility for the commercial arrangements with key accounts. Working collaboratively and cross functionally within company to drive profitability through Key accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Customer Focus manager to identify continuous improvement activities to strengthen key customer relationships.
  • Work with the Commercial Director to identify potential acquisition companies that strengthen the company offering, whilst growing its geographical expanse across the UK
  • Develop an approach around a new 'incubation' sector focussed on Green Technology

Key Skills / Knowledge Requirements: Sales & Business Development Manager

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines, working under pressure and good time management skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, essential for managing our blue-chip Key customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high growth environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility as we foster empowerment yet be a team player.
  • A good level of business and commercial acumen
  • Detail orientated - working with numbers to understand trends, analysis, and opportunities.
  • Understanding of industrial applications

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic understanding of machined parts / CNC
  • Experience on ERP systems
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel
  • Sales Manager / KAM in a similar engineering / Industrial environment
  • CRM Experience
